Free Photo Contests 2026 with Cash Prizes — No Entry Fee (Checked on Official Pages)
Free-to-enter photo contests for 2026 with real cash prizes, each checked on the organizer's official page: deadlines, who can enter, and copyright terms. Updated monthly.
Most photo contest lists mix in contests that charge an entry fee, give only a "certificate" instead of a prize, or take the copyright of your photo. This guide uses a narrow filter:
- No entry fee, or no fee or payment step anywhere in the official notice
- A prize amount written as a number (prizes paid in vouchers are marked)
- Checked on the organizer's own page (no information taken from aggregator sites or blogs)
That leaves 10 contests this month. International contests that anyone can enter come first. Korean contests come after them, and most of those are only for people living in Korea.

How to read the "Fee" column
- Free (stated): the official rules say "free of charge", "no purchase necessary" or similar.
- No fee listed: the notice never mentions a fee or payment. It looks free, but it isn't said in words.
Deadlines are given in the organizer's time zone, with UTC in brackets.

- Environmental Photography Award: worldwide, aged 18 or over. Shot on or after 1 Sept 2021; up to 5 images per category (25 total). Shortest side at least 3,000 px, original camera metadata required. Photos that won other contests are allowed.
- Walk of Water: a photo-story contest. The big prize is tied to the wastewater theme. Just entering grants a permanent licence that includes commercial use, which makes it the broadest licence on this list.
- Concrete in Life: worldwide, aged 18 or over, theme is concrete. A winner keeps only the highest prize; taxes are the winner's responsibility.
- MCDF: all countries, up to 3 photos. Unedited photos only, at least 3,000×2,000 px, 300 DPI, 15 MB or less.

Three ways to spot contests to avoid
1. A fee that appears later Notices get revised, and a fee can appear or disappear. Check the "fee" line in the organizer's latest notice, not the first post you saw. If the payment account is a personal name, or doesn't match the organizer, stop.
2. "Benefits" instead of a prize Many free contests only give a certificate, a social-media feature or a discount on the next paid contest. If the prize table has no number in a currency, it isn't on this list.
3. Copyright taken just for entering Phrases like "copyright is transferred" or "all entries become the property of the organizer" can mean your photo can be used freely even if it doesn't win. A good clause looks like this: you keep the copyright, use is limited to winning entries, and the term and purpose are fixed. The paid section explains how to read real clauses.
